Mini Autumn Haul

Hello guys 🙂

Last week I popped into the city to buy some autumn based beauty products. Autumn (fall) is by far my favorite season and so here are the things I brought last week 🙂

I spent AGES in Lush looking at all their new Autumn/Winter stuff, although the shop in Norwich is tiny and you couldn’t move around so I brought a couple of things and I’m going to go back not on a saturday at some point!

First thing I was drawn to was a bath bomb called Butter Bear. It looks so cute and smells gorgeous! It smells even better when in the bath. It also contains little bits of cocoa butter which melt into the bath and make you skin super soft. AND it was only £1.95!!

I also brought a bath crumbly thing – I always forget what its called, but basically you break off little bits into the bath and it makes the water a lovely colour and all bubbly. This one I haven’t used yet as I’m saving it for a day when i’m feeling a bit anxious as the clue is in the name – The Comforter. It smells like blackberries and just sniffing it makes you feel calm.

After Lush I popped into Boots to get some autumn make up/ just plain old make up :p

First is a new lipstick, I did a review of the shade 111 a while ago on my blog and I just LOVE this lipstick. The matte colour lasts all day and I hardly ever need to top it up. It goes on so smoothly which is great for someone like me who is always in a rush. This colour is a slightly darker red (see photo at the bottom) and in my opinion the perfect autumn colour.

I also brought some blush which I have lost the photo for :/ As the weather gets colder I like to wear less bronzer and more blusher in a sort of Elsa-from-Frozen-esque look.

Finally I brought some new mascara which I LOVE LOVE LOVE I have stubby little lashes and my last favorite was a L’oreal million lashes for green eyes but I haven’t been able to buy anymore 😦 so I have been entering the world of different mascaras and had up to this point failed miserably. This mascara however is different – to the point where I have actually had compliments due to this mascara.

The mascara is Maybelline Falsies Volume express and I would 100% recommend it doesnt clump the curved brush makes it so easy to apply and increases the amount I put on. Its like wearing false lashes but without the hassle!

Hello Again….

Heeeellllloooooo!!!! I’m sorry its has been so long but I have a very good reason – Life Tip; Don’t spill acetone based nail varnish remover on your laptop keyboard it melts the key connections and breaks it…..

Basically I broke my keyboard during my A2 exams in july and then summer happend so I didn’t get a chance to get it fixed and when I finally did I couldn’t get a keyboard replacement. Sooooo i’m writing this on a USB keyboard which looks very funny… :p

This post is also to let you know now I can type with my laptop now without it taking five mins to write a sentence you can expect some more regular blog posts, hopefully.

See you soon!!

Daisy Nails

Hey!! Sorry this post is a bit delayed but I’m currently revising for my final year of A-levels so a bit short for time…Anyways….Inspiration struck me as I was painting my nails earlier – why not kill two birds with one stone! So here is a sort of tutorial/inspiration/whatever you would call this!! Enjoy 🙂 xx

(Sorry for the over use of exclamation marks)

These are the products I used  none of them are very expensive, they are all high-street  buys.

They are in order:

Sally Hansen Maximum strength – I swear buy this as my nails are really weak and flake before they get to a decent length but I apply this a couple of times a week or use it as a base coat and its great 🙂

N.Y.C( New York Colour) This is really old and I’m not sure super drug stock it any more…

Boots essentials top coat – cheap and cheerful but it does the job

Nailene white French tip pen – I cheated a bit here but it still works 🙂

Start with a base coat of your chosen colour – I have gone with a coral colour from New York Colour its nice and summery as the weather here is finally getting warm – YAY 🙂

Next dot another colour in the centre of the nails you want to draw the daisies on, I have gone for asymmetrical nails as I really struggle with painting my right hand ( because I am the least left handed person ever) so have only painted one nail on my right hand and have left one nail on my left. It’s kinda hard to explain but the finished picture shows my left hand.  ( I left this out of the top picture and don’t know why but it is a pale yellow from claire’s)

Now use the nail pen (or a cocktail stick dipped in white nail varnish would also work) to draw on the petals. If you are more artistic than me you could draw more than just lines…

And finally put on a top coat to minimize chippage…

There you have it simple summery nails in quite a short amount of time! I will try and post again soon but I can’t promise anything 🙂 xx

Rimmel London – Lasting finish matte lipstick by Kate Moss

This is one of 5 matte lipsticks by Kate Moss – all of which are absolutely gorgeous colours and had to stop myself from buying all of them! I already had a couple of other Rimmel lipsticks which I really like, its one of the things Rimmel is actually good for…

The pointed tip is an added bonus as the last lipstick I brought had a rounded tip – the pointed tip makes it much easier to apply. Rimmel also promise that this lipstick will last all day – which it pretty much does, as long as you aren’t using your mouth that much… :p

I’ve got the shade 111 or kiss of life which is a sort of crimson-red and is now my lipstick of choice!

4/5 as it takes a couple of coats during the day after eating etc. but I’m definitely going to buy this again- maybe I will end up buying all 5!!

Oh and its only £5.49 and available in all the normal high-street stores so its also a fab price – a great buy 🙂

Liebster award!!

Thank you so much to for the nomination I really appreciate it. I wasn’t sure what this was until I Googled it and it will be so useful to help gain some followers, especially as I’m a first time blogger 🙂  The rules are quite simple and don’t take up to much time 🙂 The award can only go to people with 200 followers or less and when you receive the award you must answer the 11 questions given too you, post 11 facts about yourself and ask 11 questions. What I’m Wearing :)

What I'm wearing :)

It’s a bit wintry today so I’m a bit more wrapped up than usual! Today I am wearing a pair of black cable knit tights from Mark’s and Spencer’s, Royal Blue pencil skirt, also from M&S, a Two door cinema club vest top which I brought of eBay so isn’t the best quality but I like having some pattern under my sheer shirt. The green sheer shirt is from New Look and the cardigan also from eBay. I’ve gone for a smarter look today but dressed it down with my tatty pair of red converse and the chunky cardigan. Other variations I would try if I was going smarter would be a pair of black shoes, such as brogues or maybe some low heels and switch up the cardi with a blazer or a normal length cardigan.  I had my hair natural with this, mainly because it rained all day and I don’t bother with my hair when it will just get ruined as soon as I go outside. Similarly with my make-up I had my ‘basic face’ also known as a natural look with a little more black eye-liner on my lids.
